Clarification, update, and elaboration: Actually, I don't use Babel Fish so much as a dictionary. The best on-line Italian-English dictionary I've found so far is at http://www.wordreference.com/it/. Babel Fish is wonderful for correcting (or at least improving) my translations. For example, I was wondering how to say:

This morning, I drove to the Catholic Worker house and delivered the clothes.

I tried this:

Questa matina, io ho guidato mi auto a la casa de lavoro catolico e io ho consiglato il vesti.

which Babel Fish translated as:

This matina, I have guided me car to the house de catolico job, and I have consiglato the garments.

OK, so I misspelled a couple words, used the possessive pronoun instead of the adjective, got the verb tenses wrong, none of which, I think, would have mattered much in conversation. I also guessed incorrectly how to say "of" and "worker" and "delivered." A little fiddling, though, brought me to:

Questa mattina, io guidato mio auto a la casa di il operaio cattolico e io consegnato il vesti.

which is pretty close to what I tried to say.
