I'm tired of getting this stuff in my in-box.

Comments

I'm disabling comments again. Every day or two I receive garbage comments of the form:
I love your most interesting blog. I will mark it as a Favorite. Visit LondonEscorts.com for hot babes.
Or some such.

Who needs it? Everyone I care about who might want might want to say something about this blog knows how to reach me via e-mail.

The comment feature is officially closed.

One month since my last post

And I have to choose between blogging and finishing our taxes.

I HATE doing the taxes.

"awesome blog"

Wow! I enabled the comments feature just in time. Here's one I just received:
awesome blog, do you have twitter or facebook? i will bookmark this page thanks. jasmin holzbauer
Pretty good, huh? Well, maybe not. Google tells me that Ms. Holzbauer has sent the same email -- word for word -- to a lot of blogs. And a quick search of Facebook fails to turn up anyone by that name. (Yes, I do have a Facebook account, which I will kill in the next few days; no I don't have a twitter account.)

So. I'm disappointed to learn that Ms. Holsbauer may just be the alias of a spammer in Nigeria, and not, in fact, a true fan of my awesomeness. But something good came out of her email, too. I was moved to re-read the post that prompted her comment "How many books in the Bible?" and I have to say I like it (although footnote 2 doesn't look as funny to me now as it did when I typed it). In fact, I like it so much, I've added it to my Favorites list.
