Three things:

One: Tell me more about kayaking. What triggered an interest...where is it headed...etc

Two: Definitely see Schonbrunn Palace in Vienna.

Three: Is anybody going to tell me when Cassie and Roger are thinking the wedding will be ?

Hi, Jack--

Kayaking: Several times in the last year or so, I've walked across Key Bridge into Georgetown late in the afternoon and seen individual kayakers paddling down the river past the Kennedy Center and toward Roosevelt Island. I've also seen them while standing on the terrace at the Kennedy Center. It is SO COOL how the boats glide along with (what appears to be) only a modest effort on the part of the paddler. "I'll bet I can do that," I said to myself. Being the cautious type, I decided to take some lessons. My last session is this Thursday, when I'll spend several hours making sure that I can climb back into the boat if I should happen to fall out.

Vienna: Yep, Schonbrunn is a virtual certainty.

Cassie and Roger: The wedding date isn't set yet, but the smart money is on March 17, 2007. I'll let you know when it's locked in.
