Okay, so that's not me in the yellow vest that Chuck Norris is busy rescuing.
But it could have been me, if a photographer had been at Seneca Creek Park last Saturday. I spent the better part of that afternoon learning how to do wet exits, T-rescues (like the one pictured), self-rescues (using a paddle float), and an assisted-roll rescue (that's my name for it). The common denominator for all these maneuvers? You start by strapping yourself into your kayak and then flipping yourself and your boat upside down!
It may not be sky-diving, but it's a plenty big enough rush for me. WHOOO-EEEEE!!

Dan,
Who ever said that you had your head up your.....I mean you are coming pretty darn close by turning a perfectly good(and floating) kayak upside down. I say "Good for you". Barbara would probably tell you that I said a lot of less complementry things but don't you believe it. You need to tell me more about you and kayaking. Also, I will probably let Barbara's sister, Hedy, know that you are a kayaker. She has one and uses it every 14 years.
Have a great time on the the European vacation. Forget everything you saw or heard about Chevy Chase and his European vacation....you'll be fine.
Jack
