I'm now a text message expert, having sent two of them in the last week and a half.

Last week, niece Katie enlightened me on using iTap entry mode rather than ABC. Very cool. It simplifies entry a lot.

However, it's still not quite as easy as typing a message at a computer, so today I investigated how to send a text message from our PC. A pretty complete rundown on the various options is here. The option I used required me to know the cell phone's carrier--in my case, Verizon. (I think all the options require you to know the carrier.) FoneFinder is a neat site that will help you figure out who the carrier is.
