Fair warning
Liberals have been arguing that the Guantanamo prisoners won't cause any problems if they're moved to the U.S., in part because we've got super-max prisons where the prisoners are isolated from one another. Once the Gitmo prisoners arrive, however, we're ready to start a new protest: "Isolation is torture." The estimable Atul Gawande makes the case powerfully in a March 30, 2009 New Yorker article.
