Turn signals
I swear I remember when you could replace a turn signal bulb with just a screw driver and, um, a new turn signal bulb. Well, you can't do it that way on a 2000 Buick. What you can do -- what you must do -- is remove the entire headlight assembly from the vehicle just to get access to the bulb. Actually, removing the entire headlight assembly isn't really all that difficult. What is difficult is putting the entire headlight assembly back into the vehicle. Doing so requires screwing a bolt into a hole that is designed to be very hard to get to -- and don't you dare drop that bolt while you're trying to screw it in because if you do it will disappear as completely as if it had been swallowed up in a black hole. (Tomorrow I'll let you know if our neighborhood hardware store stocks bolts that can serve as replacements.)

Perhaps turning the car over and shaking it will let you recover the missing bolt.....duhhhh !
A thought....if the headlight assembly is still out of the car, and the missing bolt screws into the assembly, you might want to consider taking it with you to the hardware store so that you get the right size. (Not all thread sizes are the same.)
