Miracle on the Hudson

I'm as amazed as anyone at yesterday's crash, but I get a little antsy with all this talk of miracle. Maybe people are using it to mean "remarkable" or "astonishing," but I can't hear the m-word without thinking of divine intervention, and I can't think of divine intervention without thinking of all the times when a little divine intervention would have been appreciated but was not forthcoming.
