One of the pinko, lefty, commie blogs I read regularly reminded me that YouTube has some wonderful vintage performances. That blog sent me off to see Louis Armstrong and Jack Teagarden singing "Rocking Chair." From which I quickly moved to Satchmo and Billie Holiday doing "Do you know what it means (to miss New Orleans)?"
In the past I've suggested you look for June Christie and Leontyne Price. (No way Leontyne Price should be paired with anyone, but hey, sue me.)
Who would you like to see? Satchmo? Ella? Senor Wences? You could spend hours watching these great performers.
