Who knew it was so easy?

One of my many failings is my unwillingness to take a couple minutes now and then to send an e-mail to governors, senators, and representatives telling them what I want them to do. The Spirit moved me the other day, however, so I did send one to the governor on the day a man was sentenced to be executed. (Actually, I just signed my name to an already prepared e-mail that asked for life without parole instead of the death penalty.) It took me all of about 30 seconds.

Next morning, the headline in the Post was "Va. Governor Commutes Death Sentence."

I didn't know how powerful I was. Now I really feel bad about all those other e-mails I never wrote.

I'm glad that you were successful. If you get too full of yourself, try writing to a member of Congress. If you in any way expect them to take action, or even support action, that you believe is right....you are in for a sad awakening.
Or......maybe it's just my legislators from North Carolina that are a pertfect reflection of the uselessness of the the entire Congess. No, that can't be it. I was able to get the same nonanswers, and lies from the legislators when I lived in Michigan.
Don't be jaded by my experiences. You have succeeded once. Stay the course. Change the world.
