In the beginning

A free blog, courtesy of Google. Who could resist? Certainly not me, even though I haven't got anything to say.

I think I'll use this thing

• to try to understand the mechanics of blogging a little better,
• to see what restrictions are placed on a Blogger site,
• to post pictures of my glorious family,
• to quote snippets for some interesting things I've read elsewhere on the web, and, very rarely,
• to offer my opinion on books, movies, politics, or other matters of the day.
